Business Update: Social Distancing and Watching Out For Each Other
Like so many businesses in our communities right now, or doors are largely closed to the public, but that doesn’t mean we’re not looking out for you. The Centers for Disease Control, and the Governor of Vermont have recommended most business in the state close to the public, or transition their business transactions online, curbside, or delivery.
As a healthcare provider, BOE is considered an essential business, and we remain committed to serving our clients and community as best we can.
As of Monday, March 16, 2020 at 5pm, we made the extremely tough decision to temporarily close our office in response to the COVID-19/Coronavirus outbreak. This decision was not made lightly, and was made to protect the health of our patients, staff and their families.
The CDC has recommended that patients postpone all routine medical, dental, and eyecare visits. Anything that can be safely postponed or rescheduled is being pushed make to both reduce the risk and spread of infection, and to not overwhelm our medical staff and infrastructure.
IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY WITH YOUR EYES OR VISION, please contact Dr. Leipert on his cell phone at (802) 498-5420 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are recommending ophthalmologists who are available to work with healthy patients to deal with emergency situations.
We are working as hard as we can right now to help stem the spread of this virus, stay safe and healthy, and meet the needs of our community and our clients.
If you need help with your contact lenses or eyeglasses, please reach out to Tim at email@example.com. We are working diligently to offer limited hours to help with your optical needs.
While we remain closed to the public and are not able to handle inpatient care at the moment, we can still have your contact lenses direct shipped to you, and we are making ourselves as available as possible to attend to any lost or broken eyeglasses.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time. It is extremely important to us that we continue to serve you as best we can while we all work together to stay safe and healthy during this uncertain time.
